Remembering Margaret Olemaun Pokiak-Fenton
We are so sad to hear of the recent passing of the late and wonderful Margaret Olemaun Pokiak-Fenton. Margaret Olemaun has left behind a powerful legacy with her stories of strength, survival and resilience. Her last appearance was at the Vancouver's Writer's Fest along with Christy Jordan-Fenton, to talk about Fatty Legs, a powerful story about a young Inuvialuit girl who stands up to bullies of residential schools. Margaret Olemaun will be very missed.
